Meet The Team

Rebecca Yates
Partner
Business Development
Rebecca built Ironwood Bookkeeping around a simple but powerful idea: small business owners deserve the same quality of financial oversight that larger companies take for granted, at a price that actually makes sense. As the founder, she leads a team of QuickBooks Online ProAdvisors committed to filling the accounting manager gap that so many small and mid-sized businesses fall into — serving as both controller and bookkeeper so clients get clarity, not just compliance. What sets Rebecca apart is her genuine interest in the people behind the businesses she serves. She connects with owners where they are, helps them understand what their numbers are actually telling them, and builds the kind of trust that keeps clients — and great team members — coming back.

Kim Holford
Bookkeeping Manager
Kim thrives on turning confusion into clarity — whether that's streamlining a disorganized process or solving a thorny technical challenge, the satisfaction of bringing order to chaos is one of her favorite parts of the job. She recently invested in a course on leveraging AI for efficiency, and incorporating those tools has added real value to her client work. Colleagues are often struck by her memory for numbers and her knack for producing the right quote or fact at exactly the right moment. Outside of the office, Kim stays energized through workouts, tennis, and time with family and friends.

Ashley Tanner Cook
Onboarding Specialist
Ashley's approach to client service is simple but rare: when something important comes up in a client's life, they shouldn't have to think twice about whether it'll get handled. That trust is something she's built deliberately — like the time a client needed three years of financial documents for a home purchase and had them in hand within the hour. She's also a firm believer that financial reports aren't just a scorecard, they're a tool for taking control, and she's quick to help clients use their numbers to budget with intention rather than restriction. When she steps away from work, Ashley is spending time with her husband and kids, getting outside, or catching up with friends.

Nicole McBride
Forensics
While her classmates at Texas A&M were dreading Accounting 1, Nicole was quietly excelling — and ended up switching her major to Accounting before the semester was over. She has a particular knack for digging into balance sheet accounts that don't look quite right, pulling the detail in Excel and hunting down the root cause with something close to enthusiasm. One of her standout client wins involved untangling a complex law firm's billing and income tracking system that didn't align with standard QuickBooks functions — a 4-out-of-5 difficulty challenge she worked through methodically. She came to Ironwood through a chance conversation at a Christmas party, and hasn't looked back. When she's not working, Nicole is teaching Pilates, reading thrillers, or driving her two boys to their next activity.

Cara Jaggers
Bookkeeper
After nearly two decades in non-profit work, Cara channeled her long-held passion for numbers into a career in bookkeeping. She finds unexpected satisfaction in meticulous data work — reconciling a complex file until it's pristine offers her a reliable sense of accomplishment. She enjoys going beyond standard monthly reporting to uncover discrepancies and provide clients with actionable insights. When she's not working, Cara is cheering on her boys at sporting events, volunteering, or getting lost in a good rom-com.

Sundee McDonald
Bookkeeper
Sundee's background spans software development and managing large projects at an accounting firm, where budgeting and financial data became second nature. She's deepened her expertise in accounting integrations — including payroll systems, CRM platforms, and analytics tools like Qvinci — to help clients streamline processes and make confident business decisions. She sees messy books not as chaos, but as a puzzle waiting to be solved. When she's not working, Sundee plays tennis, spends time with family, and has recently taken up Mahjong.

Erin Donner
Bookkeeper
Erin got into bookkeeping when a co-worker needed help and she quickly realized it wasn't just number-crunching — it measures the health of a business and brings clarity to decision-making. She saw it as a meaningful way to support small business owners who take big risks to build something they're passionate about. Erin especially enjoys cleaning up messy books and solving technical challenges. Outside work she loves gardening, cooking, hiking national parks, and spending time with family and friends.

Alisha Forbis
Bookkeeper
Alisha brings an energy and optimism to bookkeeping that's genuinely contagious — colleagues say her positive outlook consistently helps those around her find the bright side of any situation. Her philosophy on finances is refreshingly straightforward: you don't need to overcomplicate it, you just need a clear plan and the discipline to follow through. Her biggest piece of advice? Start investing early and don't wait until you feel ready. When she's not working, Alisha is logging miles on a trail run, exploring the outdoors, or recharging with her family.

Laura Lusk
Bookkeeper
Laura's love of numbers started young — her mom sat her down at 15 to learn how to balance a checkbook, and being off by even a penny was simply not acceptable. That early lesson in precision has followed her throughout her career. These days, her favorite tool is Excel, and she'll happily spend time in a spreadsheet where others might not. She credits her mom with instilling a financial literacy that most people spend years trying to catch up on. Away from the books, Laura is on the tennis court or spending time with her family.
